Why Quality Kept Simple exists
ISO 9001 is a good standard explained badly. We explain it the way you'd explain it to a colleague on the shop floor.
Quality Kept Simple is run by a working quality and operations professional with years of experience in UK manufacturing, including running certified management systems and hosting external audits.
Most ISO 9001 material is written by consultants for consultants. It's long, vague and full of jargon. Small manufacturers don't have time for that. They need to know what the standard actually asks for, what "good" looks like in a business their size, and something practical to start from.
What you'll find here
- Videos every Thursday, each covering one part of ISO 9001.
- Blog posts answering real questions from real firms.
- Templates written for small manufacturers, with worked examples.
About the examples
Our examples use Brightline Components Ltd, a fictional 25-person precision engineering firm. It lets us show real situations without using any real company's details.
What we're not
We're not a certification body and we're not affiliated with ISO or BSI. We paraphrase the standard and never reproduce it, so buy your own copy for the exact wording. Our content is general guidance, not certification advice.
